Amy Winehouse's Cause of Death: Not Enough Booze?

Amy Winehouse Died From Alcohol Withdrawl? According to a recent report from People, they have confirmed that Amy Winehouse's family believes that the troubled singer died from alcohol withdrawal.

Amy was supposedly told by her doctors that she needed to step away slowly from alcohol. According to the Sun, Amy ignored these doctor orders and this is where it all went terribly bad.

"Abstinence gave her body such a fright, they thought it was eventually the cause of her death," says the source.

This, of couse, contradicts our earlier reports that Amy met up with a "mysterious man" the night she passed away and was seen purchasing narcotics from a dealer shortly after 10:30 PM.

The true cause of death will not be known for at least 2 weeks pending the toxicology tests.
