Kirsten Dunst, Adam Scott, Lizzy Caplan, and Casey Wilson Hop Aboard New Comedy

Kirsten Dunst, Adam Scott, Lizzy Caplan, and Casey Wilson Hop Aboard New Comedy Sometimes, it's like they put a cast together just for me. Such is the case with the one announced in The Hollywood Reporter for the upcoming film "Bachelorette" (though the name is likely to change).

You've got your Adam Scott, best known now as Ben on "Parks and Recreation," your Lizzy Caplan, best known as Adam Scott's love-interest on the late "Party Down," your Casey Wilson, best known as being fired from "Saturday Night Live," and your Kirsten Dunst, best known for being terribly underrated. Yeah, I said it.

"Bachelorette" will mark Leslye Headland's directorial debut, and she'll also write the screenplay from her off-Broadway hit play. In it, three girls (Dunst, Caplan, and a yet-to-be-cast third woman) are invited to be Bridesmaids at the wedding of a girl they called "Pigface" in high school (Wilson), who has some plans of her own for her former tormentors. Anyway, I'm assuming that "Pigface" wasn't a friendly nickname.

Scott, destined to be desired by Caplan, will play her high school crush who's attending the wedding with a hot young date. Although standards are getting rough when Caplan, at 29, no longer qualifies as "young." What's he going to do, show up with a current high schooler?

Will Ferrell and Adam McCay will produce the whole venture through their Gary Sanchez production company with a budget of only $3 million. Something tells me this won't quite have the commercial appeal of another female-centric wedding comedy opening soon...
