Watch Justin Timberlake, as Mozart, Lampoon His Own Career in Cut 'SNL' Sketch

Watch Justin Timberlake, as Mozart, Lampoon His Own Career in Cut 'SNL' Sketch The last time Justin Timberlake hosted "Saturday Night Live," back in 2009, he took some shots at his career to date as his fictional Irish immigrant ancestor. And it was awesome.

When he returned to "SNL" this past weekend, he and the writers tried to do the same, but alas, it did not make to air.

Luckily, we live in the future, and all great things are available to us right now, often at no cost. It used to be that you wouldn't hear about these sketches until maybe they got thrown on a DVD compilation. Now, you have nearly the entire history of "Saturday Night Live" at your fingertips, and rejected sketches regularly show up online.

This time, that takes the form of Justin Timberlake poking fun at his recent focus on developing his acting career.  As Mozart. And while the jokes can be a little on-the-nose, often just substituting faux old English in for contemporary references and calling it comedy, they manage to get some genuine punches in (the bit about Bieber is gold) and the concept of the sketch is pretty awesome itself. After all, Mozart WAS a musical success from an early age. Obviously it rang true.

And I do like when celebrities use "SNL" as an outlet for personal concerns. Timberlake's taken a lot of flack for focusing more on acting than music. Many journalists at the "Social Network" junkets were more interested in his next musical venture, which he's made no promises of delivering, rather than his considerable acting accomplishment in that film.

Anyway, without further adieu, here's the Mozart sketch, followed by the Irish immigrant sketch from a few years ago.
