Tarantino Sues 'True Blood' Creator Alan Ball Over...Parrots?

Tarantino Sues 'True Blood' Creator Alan Ball Over...Parrots? This has to be one of the stranger celebrity feuds out there: Quentin Tarantino is at odds with his neighbor, "True Blood" creator Alan Ball, over a flock of Macaws. Yes, they're fighting over parrots. It isn't just a neighborly squabble, either. Tarantino is actually going so far as to sue Ball over the matter.

What's the big deal?

Ball apparently owns a number of exotic birds, which he keeps on his property. Tarantino claims in his lawsuit that the noise has become so distracting that he is unable to write in his own home. Of course, since this is Quentin Tarantino we're talking about, the wording in the lawsuit is pretty unique: he claims that the "exotic bird menagerie" owned by Ball is emitting "pterodactyl-like" "blood-curdling screams," which prevent Tarantino from working.

Tarantino has apparently approached Ball over the matter, but the two couldn't reach an agreement. I think this is the first lawsuit I've ever heard of that features a parrot dispute.

Ball, who also created "Six Feet Under" and wrote "American Beauty" in addition to creating the HBO vampire hit "True Blood," doesn't seem to have any problems concentrating himself with the birds around.

Then again, maybe he does his writing in an office located far away from the squawks.
