'True Blood' Season 5 and 'The Newsroom' HBO Premiere Dates Set: Watch the Trailers!

True Blood Season 5 HBO is having a grand ole time with the success of the "Game of Thrones" season two premiere, but it's the "True Blood" numbers that they should really be excited about.

HBO's big summer series now has a premiere date: "True Blood" season 5 will premiere at 9pm on Sunday, June 10, meaning you won't have to wait too long into the summer to jump back into the drama in Bon Temps. This newest season will focus on the arrival of the Vampire Authority in town, lead by "Law & Order: Speical Victims Unit" star Christopher Meloni.

There will be another big (though not "True Blood" big) premiere in June, as HBO's new series "The Newsroom" will premiere at 10pm on Sunday, June 24. The new show comes from "The West Wing" and "The Social Network" writer Aaron Sorkin, and stars Jeff Daniels as a 24-hour cable news anchor who gets in trouble after his political rant is caught on camera.

You can check out the trailers for both shows below: the "True Blood" trailer is more of a teaser, but "The Newsroom" video gives an extended look at what should be a great performance from Daniels.
