'True Blood' Star Sam Trammell Is a Father (Of Twins!)

Holy shapeshifting babies! "True Blood" star Sam Trammell, who plays Sam Merlotte on the show, has just become a first-time dad to a set of twins.

Trammell's girlfriend of eight years, Missy Yager, gave birth to the two boys yesterday. Yager, also in the acting business, met Trammell back when both of them were working on Broadway. She has since appeared in shows like "Mad Men" and "Boston Public."

The twin boys are reportedly healthy, but the couple hasn't released any info on names or vitals, or whether or not they can turn into dogs at will. Actually, it's a shame Trammell doesn't have that particular ability in real life...he'd be able to avoid buying a family pet for the youngsters.

Congratulations, Sam!

Between that and the renewal of "True Blood" for season 5, it's been a pretty good couple of days for Trammell.
