8000 Miles 2: Girl Rappers is a Japanese film about a group of talented, twenty-something girls who decide to band together once again after high school to rap. The film centers around Ayumu, dissatisfied with her stale life and searching for purpose. When she reunites with her old friends, she is reminded of their original all-girl group. They all have their reservations about getting the group back together until a spontaneous, free-style rap battle ensues between them and two boys from Saitama. Their passions rekindled, they set out on an adventure in which they learn what rap is really about.
