Watch Andes: Floating on Titicaca

Andes : Floating on Titicaca' brings the viewer on the blue waters of Lake Titicaca; the highest elevated navigable lake in the world. After a short stop to Puno; the major city on the lake's shore we visit Uros Islands; home of the oldest civilization of the region. These islands; made out of totora; a combination of reed and mud; float on the lake. We continue to Taquile Island that preserves remarkable customs; in dress and traditions. From there we go to visit the pre-Inca ruins of Silustani; the old necropolis of Tiahuanaco; that has unique cylindrical funerary tombs.
