Burma and Cambodia is a short 2007 documentary streaming video that focuses on the similarities between the two countries. The main similarity is that their recent history had been dominated by dictatorial rule. In the 1970s, the Cambodian government was dominated by the dictatorial rule of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge. In 1998, the government officially became democratic, but the same party and leader have won every election since then. The military of Burma rook over in the late 1980s. In the late 2000s, they loosened things up a bit by forming a parliament and allowing freedom of speech.
