"Burzynski" is the true story told in documentary format of Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski's legal battle with the Food & Drug Administration. The film spans 14 years during the struggle of Dr. Burzynski, a medical doctor and Ph.D biochemist, and his patients to get clinical trial approval from the Food & Drug Administration for the Antineoplastons that Dr. Burzynski believes can fight cancer. This legal battle eventually resulted in the single largest and possibly most complex win against the Food & Drug Administration in American history. The film also covers the Food & Drug Administration's five attempts spanning ten years to have Dr. Burzynski indicted by a Federal Grand Jury. This film, directed and written by Eric Merola, has won numerous awards including the 2011 award for Best Documentary from the Documentary Channel, the National Audience Award and the Warsaw Audience Award from the 2011 HumanDoc Festival in Warsaw, along with the 2010 Newport Beach Humanitarian Award.
