Watch Bushman's Secret

In this documentary a South African filmmaker travels to the Kalahari to document the Bushmen's way of life. He meets a tribal healer and interviews him to find out more about traditional knowledge and the nomadic way of life. The healer explains that the tribe doesn't do much hunting or gathering as they have been forced to adopt the ways of modern society. The tribes now live in a state of poverty and their way of life is disappearing. But a plant called Hoodia, which has been used by the tribe for many years, is gaining popularity in the modern world as a weight loss supplement.
