Closure is a gripping and emotional drama written and directed by Bryan Tucker, which tells the story of a woman named Linsey (Angela Burt Tucker) who finally confronts her rapist after twenty years of silence. As she struggles to come to terms with the trauma that has haunted her for so long, Linsey realizes that in order to move forward with her life, she needs to find closure by facing the man who took so much from her.

The movie opens with Linsey waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, haunted by memories of the night that changed her life forever. As the story unfolds, we see glimpses of her life in the present day, where she is a successful businesswoman with a teenage daughter named Tamyra (Tahira Ebrahim). Despite her success, Linsey is plagued by nightmares and a sense of unease that she just can't shake.

When Linsey receives an unexpected phone call from her rapist, Anthony (Craig Zucchero), she is thrown into a frenzy of conflicting emotions. Part of her wants to ignore his call and continue to pretend that the past never happened, while another part of her is desperate to confront him and finally put the trauma behind her.

With the support of her friend and therapist, Phyllis (Claudine Mboligikpelani Nako), Linsey begins to prepare herself for the inevitable meeting with Anthony. She faces a range of complicated emotions in the lead up to the confrontation, including anger, sadness, and fear, and begins to dig deep into her past to find the strength to face her rapist head-on.

As they finally come face to face, Linsey and Anthony engage in a tense and emotional conversation. Although he attempts to justify his actions, Linsey remains firm in her resolve to confront him and take back the power that he stole from her.

Throughout the film, we see flashbacks to the night that Linsey was raped, as well as her life in the years following the attack. These scenes offer insight into the trauma that she has endured, and how it has affected her relationships with family and friends.

One of the most striking aspects of Closure is the powerful performance by Angela Burt Tucker as Linsey. She portrays the character with a raw vulnerability that is both heartbreaking and inspiring, and brings a powerful sense of authenticity to the role. Bryan Tucker's direction is also noteworthy, drawing out intense and emotionally charged performances from the entire cast.

The film's themes of trauma, forgiveness, and redemption are explored with nuance and sensitivity, offering a rare and intimate glimpse into the difficult process of healing from sexual assault. Closure is a moving and thought-provoking drama that will leave a lasting impact on viewers.

Closure is a 2012 documentary with a runtime of 1 hour and 17 minutes.
