On June 6, 1944, over 150,000 American military troops landed on the beaches of Normandy, France in what was America’s first outright involvement in the European theater of the Second World War. Against staggering odds, well over 9,000 of these courageous men would never go home again. The documentary D-Day: The Price Of Freedom tells their story through the eyes and true life tales of five of those brave souls who were there, and lived to tell about it. Most of them had not been back since that fateful day in 1944. Included is rare photographs and film footage they very candidly tell of the total chaos and horror that they all went through in order to liberate the French from Hitler's Nazi Germany.
D-Day: The Price Of Freedom is a 2006 documentary with a runtime of 53 minutes.
