?The heart of the Christian faith is summarized in the Apostles' Creed. Many hymnwriters, such as Charles Wesley, Isaac Watts, and John Newton, wrote hymns that reflect the words and doctrines of the Apostles' Creed. This program presents a selection of those hymns. Some of them are familiar to many of us, such as "Holy, Holy, Holy" and "I Sing the Mighty Power of God." Others, perhaps, are not as well known, such as "Hail the Day that Sees Him Rise" and "The Judgment Has Set." But all of the selected hymns reflect the faith of our fathers as seen in the Apostles' Creed. Host for the program is Dr. Timothy George, Dean of Beeson Divinity School, Samford University.
