In the sports documentary film Fight, a high school teacher gets his students to get into a boxing ring and fight each other. The teacher's approach to helping troubled kids depends on the assumption that fighting in the ring is better than misbehaving outside it. The film was produced in Canada. This short documentary introduces us to Randy Baleski, a Winnipeg high school teacher and former boxer who has a unique approach to helping students at risk of not graduating: get them in the ring. We watch him work with two Indigenous teens from troubled backgrounds as they slowly come to understand that boxing is more than just a sport… it's a way of life. A Winnipeg high school teacher and former boxer, Baleski has a unique approach to helping students at risk of not graduating: get them in the ring. Fight profiles two Indigenous teens with troubled backgrounds. Melvin remembers his mother drinking and bringing home "random guys"-including one who tried to choke him. Rene lives on his own and is failing most of his courses.
