Watch Geisha Assassin

Geisha Assassin centers around one girl's quest to avenge her father's death during the Edo Period in Japan, a time period spanning from 1603 to 1868. During this time period, samurai warriors had a prevalent place in society. The main character Kotono is a seemingly kind girl until she wields her sword, taking out anyone in her way to killing Hyoe, the samurai responsible for her father's death. The film is filled with artsy fighting scenes that come out looking almost like a dance. The samurai's unwillingness to see her as a worthy opponent adds another element to the film.
