Goodbye, Supermom is a heartwarming comedy drama that tells the story of Marsha Robinson (Valerie Harper), a devoted wife and mother who has always put her family first. To make matters worse, Marsha's mother-in-law Bernice (Kim Hunter) is constantly interfering in her life and trying to convince her that she needs to win George back at any cost. With all of these challenges piling up, Marsha begins to crack under the pressure and starts to question whether she is really cut out for this supermom role after all.

Thankfully, Marsha has a few people in her life who are there to support her and help her find her way. Her best friend Loretta (Carol Kane) is always there to lend a listening ear and offer advice, and her new neighbor Peter (Bruce Gray) is a kind and understanding man who helps Marsha rediscover her own strength and passion for life.

Throughout the course of the movie, Marsha goes on a journey of self-discovery and growth, learning to let go of old expectations and embrace the unknown.
