The show takes place in Orlando, Florida, and follows the lives of six outrageously wealthy and glamorous women: Tawny St. John (Hill), Veronica Von Vandervon (Schneider), Phe Phe Reed (Wilson), Crystal Simmons (Kinsey), Shauna Maducci (Savage), and Amanda Simmons (Schaal). Each of these women is married to a wealthy man and spends their days partaking in lavish events, shopping sprees, and gossip sessions with their fellow Hotwives.

Tawny St. John is a former model who is married to a millionaire and is the most down-to-earth of the Hotwives. She is often seen mediating the arguments between the other ladies and attempting to keep the peace. Meanwhile, Veronica Von Vandervon is a self-proclaimed queen bee who rules over the Hotwives with an iron fist. She is married to the wealthy businessman Freddy Von Vandervon and is often seen belittling and berating the other women.

Phe Phe Reed is a former rapper who is married to the wealthy medical equipment supplier Rodney Reed. She is often seen rapping and flaunting her wealth, but is also known for her hair-trigger temper. Crystal Simmons is a former beauty queen who is married to the wealthy doomsday prepper Dr. Troy Simmons. She is often seen buying lavish gifts for herself and the other Hotwives, but is also known for her manipulative behavior.

Shauna Maducci is a former child star who is married to the wealthy nightclub owner Joey Maducci. She is often seen drinking too much and causing chaos wherever she goes. Lastly, Amanda Simmons is Crystal's sister-in-law and is married to the wealthy real estate mogul Matthew Simmons. She is often seen starting drama and flaunting her wealth in front of the other Hotwives.

Throughout the show's seven episodes, these women are seen running charity events, attending fashion shows, and throwing extravagant parties. However, the peace is often interrupted by petty arguments and fights over anything from who is the most stylish to who has the better life.
