A meteorite with devastating elemental properties hits the earth. Its chemical core is unleashed and causes a severe cooling that threatens to freeze all people, machines, landscapes, waterways, and the progress of history itself. One pair of environmentally-minded lovers discover that the cooling can be quelled with the rejoining of vital elements separated during the meteor's ballistic descent to earth. If they succeed in their mission, the planet will remain safe while gaining a gargantuan new landmark to remind it of the nature of the universe.
