Watch La Llorona 2

This movie is based upon the fable of La Llorona, "the crying woman" which originated in Mexico. Per Aztec myth, there was a deity called Cihuacoatl. Who took the formation of a lady draped in white clothing. You could see and hear her cry for death of her children which she drowned. This initially progressed into the modern version of La Llorona who was let down by her husband. So, she drowned her children out of retaliation. As torture for this horrific act, her spirit is judged to wander the earth crying for her offspring.

After 500 years, La Llorona spirit comes to haunt New York. As a result, several children are now missing. A detective, Sergio Perez, is called upon to look into the mystifying disappearance of these children with his partner, Alex Scott. They consult with Gloria, a psychic, who tells them that La Llorona is searching for the body so the spirit's son can reincarnate. And, that she is drowning missing children to bring sorrow to their mothers.

In Spanish Harlem, Maria has a psychic link to La Llorona. She draws pictures of the missing children and hears their haunting voices. Maria becomes concerned about her own son, Tonio. He drew a picture of his mother crying bloody tears. Tonio explains that his toy animal asked him to draw it. The detectives consult with Maria as well. Interested in the pictures and her paranormal experiences. So, Maria takes Tonio to Central Park, but not before calling and leaving a message about her destination to the detectives.

Day becomes night and various people in Central Park are enjoying the evening. Suddenly, La Llorona kills one of the detectives and a pair of merry drunkards. Now the legend and the crimes do not make any sense. Thus, twisting the plot even more. The children nor the adults are safe. No one is safe.
