Lost & Found is a 1999 romantic comedy directed by Jeff Pollack. The film's storyline revolves around a group of people, who are all connected in some way, by their relationships and their associations with a specific dog. The movie begins with the introduction of two central characters, Rocky (David Spade) and Kate (Sophie Marceau). Rocky is a hapless, cynical guy who spends his time scamming people out of their money in order to make a quick buck. Shortly thereafter, a Great Dane named "Drogue" enters the picture, and the rest of the movie's events are set in motion. Drogue belongs to the recently deceased mother of a wealthy businessman named Wally (Patrick Bruel), and he is trying to track him down in order to claim his inheritance.

Meanwhile, a number of other people are introduced, all of whom become involved with Drogue in some way. There's a lonely woman named Lila (Megan Mullally), who ends up adopting him, and a pair of small-time crooks named Spence (Artie Lange) and Eddie (Jon Lovitz), who try to kidnap him for ransom money.

Eventually, all of these different storylines converge in a chaotic finale, as everyone chases after Drogue in order to get what they want.

One of the key themes of the movie is the idea that everyone is connected in some way, whether they realize it or not. Even though the characters are all from different walks of life, they all become intertwined through their relationship to Drogue.
