Dairy farmer and part-time actor Fred Tuttle's father is ill and the medical expenses are starting to mount. When Fred realizes he lacks the right skill-set, experience or education to land a high paying job, he decides he might be perfectly suited to become a Congressman in the state of Vermont. In order to win the election, Tuttle is going to have to defeat incumbent Representative William Blachly, a slick politician who plans on staying in office his entire career. Running as a "regressive," the only things Tuttle has to rely on his charisma, charm and innate ability to be honest.
