The New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers are two of the well known basketball team rivalries in NBA History. The rivalry began in 1977 and when the two teams plays, it's bittersweet. In 1999 the two rivals met in the Eastern Conference finals to determine which team goes to win the NBA finals against the San Antonio Spurs. After playing Game 6, the Knicks had won the conference and advanced to the finals. The rivalry is the fourth in NBA's history where the team played for a final spot to win the championships.
