Pelt is a 2010 horror movie that centers around a group of friends who set out on a weekend getaway to the backwoods of Louisiana. The friends are all avid hunters and plan to spend their days shooting animals, exploring the wilderness, and generally having a good time. However, things take a dark turn when the group comes across a local legend - a creature known as the Rougarou. According to myth, the Rougarou is a shape-shifting werewolf that roams the swamps and bayous of Louisiana, preying on anyone who crosses its path.

At first, the group is skeptical of the legend, dismissing it as nothing more than an old wives' tale. But as the weekend progresses, they begin to notice strange and unsettling things happening around them. Animals go missing, strange howls can be heard at night, and one of the group is attacked by an unknown creature.

As tensions rise and suspicions mount, the group begins to suspect that one of their own may be the Rougarou in disguise. Paranoia and fear take hold, and the friends are forced to confront their darkest secrets and hidden desires in order to survive.

The movie is directed by Dagen Merrill, and stars Justin Welborn, Travis Goodman, and Matthew Robinson in the lead roles. The cast also includes Ashley Watkins, Phillip DeVona, and Jeffrey Combs in supporting roles.

Pelt is a tense and atmospheric horror movie that has been compared to classic creature features like The Wolf Man and The Creature from the Black Lagoon. The movie makes effective use of its Louisiana setting, with the dense swamps and marshes providing an eerie backdrop for the action.

The cast all deliver solid performances, with Welborn, Goodman, and Robinson particularly standing out as the three friends at the center of the story. The movie does a good job of building suspense and intrigue throughout, with plenty of scares and jump scares to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

Overall, Pelt is a well-made and entertaining horror movie that is sure to appeal to fans of the genre. While it may not break any new ground in terms of its story or characters, it is an effective and enjoyable creature feature that is definitely worth a watch.
