Polam Pol is a Gujarati comedy movie released in 2016. The movie is a blatant tribute to the comedy classic Golmaal, with multiple scenes of characters hiding their secrets in a room and fooling each other. The film is set in a housing society where the residents are facing a water scarcity issue. The building's secretary informs the residents that the society has won a lottery and the prize money will be used to solve the water problem. But the catch is that the residents need to give an undertaking to use the water judiciously. The story primarily revolves around four friends, named Harish, Jignesh, Montu, and Parag, and their misadventures.

Jhinal Belani plays the role of Harish's love interest. Her character is pretty straightforward, and she doesn't have much to do in the film. However, she does a decent job in her limited screen time. Prem Gadhavi is the standout performer in the movie. He plays the role of Jignesh, a foodie who's constantly hogging on snacks. He gets some of the funniest lines in the film and delivers them with impeccable timing. Jayesh More plays the role of Montu, a lawyer who's constantly trying to prove his intelligence. He's the one who's always coming up with harebrained schemes to get out of tricky situations. Parag is played by Maulik Nayak, and he's the weakest link in the cast. His character doesn't have much to do, and he fails to make an impact.

One of the highlights of the movie is its music. The songs are peppy and catchy and perfectly capture the mood of the film. The film's title track, "Polam Pol," is especially infectious and is sure to get stuck in your head. The film's cinematography is also noteworthy. The shots are well-composed, and the lighting is excellent. The production design is top-notch, and the sets are vibrant and colorful.

The movie's pacing is a bit uneven, and some of the jokes fall flat. The film's climax is also a bit underwhelming, and the resolution feels rushed. The movie also suffers from a lack of character development. The characters are all one-dimensional, and we don't get to learn much about their backstories or motivations. The film's screenplay is formulaic and predictable, and it fails to deliver any surprises. The movie's use of slapstick humor and double entendres may not be everyone's cup of tea, and some may find it crass.

Overall, Polam Pol is an enjoyable film that's worth a watch if you're in the mood for some mindless entertainment. The movie's strength lies in its talented cast and catchy music. If you're a fan of Gujarati cinema or comedies in general, then you might want to give this film a try. However, if you're looking for a more substantive film with complex characters and a compelling storyline, then this movie may not be for you.
