In this documentary, two young Mexican attorneys are attempting to reverse two wrongful convictions of a man imprisoned for a murder he didn't commit. He had witnesses placing him at work far from the scene of the crime when it was committed. Fighting with a corrupt legal system, biased witnesses and an unyielding judge, the filmmakers were eventually able to persuade the appellate court to watch their film. As opposed to the United States, there is no presumption of innocence in Mexico. The documentary was nominated for three Academy Awards.
