In this glorious series we sail down the Caledonian Canal in northern Scotland aboard the gaff schooner Johanna Lucretia. Part 1 - The North Sea: The journey begins in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. We visit Wivenhoe harbor and Brightlingsea, sail the river Orwell and lie at anchor at Pin Mill. Part 2 - The Caledonian Canal: In the 19th century the civil engineer Thomas Telford held a vision to link the east and the west coast of Scotland in a Caledonian Canal. Part 3 - The Isles on the Edge of the World: The Hebrides, the western isles of Scotland. Since the 18th century these islands have attracted numerous explorers and adventures.
