Silent Night Deadly Night 5: The Toy Maker is the last in a popular series of horror films features story lines about maniacal killers devising patented ways of killing strangers. The first four movies in the Silent Night Deadly Night series are centered around ignorant and risk-taking teenaged culture. The fifth installation has no connection to the previous four and ventures into an artistic contrast of blood and gore splattered against the white pristine backdrop of an innocent and perfectly unsuspecting household during the Christmas season.

William Thorne (Derek) and Van Quattro (Tom) are a toy-making duo that continue a family legacy of creating killer toys. Each toy has its unique characteristic of macabre cuteness, but with a penchant for ravaging and torturing its owner to death. No one is safe from the silent and deadly horror unleashed by the most unlikely of items. The cast and script are accentuated by a surprise cameo and original performance by none other than Mickey Rooney. As Joe Petto, the master toy maker, Rooney adds a breath of authenticity to this bloody thriller.
