Soft and Hard is an experimental film that was released in 1985. The film is an attempt to examine the act of film making, and how various key components of film are presented. This includes an examination of light and movement, and also the differences between film and television production. The first part of the film features individuals moving in different lighting and moving with the film being sped up or slowed down. The film then moves to a long interview that contains nontraditional lighting, and without any of the cuts that allows for the audience to see the person answering questions and asking them.
