Suburban Zero is a 2011 surrealist drama about a man caught up in the strange and evolving world of suburban life in America. The film blends realistic and dream-like shots to interesting effect, as the man attempts to escape the forced lifestyle which has run rampant through his small town. The film examines the modern suburban lifestyle, and the American Dream requirements of living in the quiet neighborhoods across the country. When the man finds a strange DVD he becomes convinced that he can escape from the strange world that he finds himself trapped in.
