A down-on-their-luck family travel to Cuppers Corners for a vacation on a houseboat, only to find the captain squandered their money and doesn’t have a boat. The other residents help fix up a boat for the family, but they soon return and help protect Cuppers Corners from a crooked highway commissioner who is planning on building a road through it.
