Urban Warrior is a 2007 American documentary detailing the erosion of rights and freedoms as a result of extreme police tactics. More specifically, the employment of tactics used by the military by law enforcement agencies. It illustrates how America is becoming a police state where agencies set the laws and how citizens must obey those laws, without questioning any authorities. Three case studies are chronicled, the 1999 Elian Gonzalez debacle, the police reaction during the Seattle WTO protesting and the Miami SWAT raid resulting in the death of Richard Brown, an unarmed civilian.
It provides a glimpse into the future as police agencies become more militarized and less humane in their tactics.
