The people attempting this race have to face extremely cruel conditions such as altitude sickness, loose volcanic stones, temperatures that change within 50 degrees, and death being the most dangerous condition of all. It is difficult enough climbing the mountain, but racing back down the mountain can be even more frightening. The film concentrates on the lives of the racers, and the way that this race brings fame to those who attempt it.
