Afsos Season 1 Episode 2 The Calm

The Calm is the second episode in the first season of the Indian web series Afsos. The two men have a strange kind of symbiosis, and Nakul grows fond of Dhananjay. He admires his sharp mind, and Dhananjay seems to understand him better than most people. However, their friendship also has its fair share of misunderstandings and disagreements.

As the episode progresses, Nakul's writer's block gives way, and he suddenly finds himself with the perfect story idea—a fictionalized version of his own life. He decides that the only way to get over his depression is to write himself out of it. He starts writing furiously and surprises himself with the amount of work he is able to produce in a short amount of time.

However, his new story does not have a happy ending, and Nakul begins to understand how little control he has over his own life. Dhananjay tries to warn him against wallowing in his own misery and encourages him to find joy in the present. Nakul tries to take his friend's advice, but he is too consumed by his own despair.
