In season 5 of Big Brother Canada, episode 16 begins with Dylan winning the Head of Household competition. The houseguests are on edge as they know only too well that being in power comes with great responsibility. But Dylan is up for the challenge and with the help of his alliance members, he starts plotting his next move.
With Kevin, Demetres, and Dillon as his main targets, Dylan decides to put Kevin and Dillon on the block. However, with the Power of Veto competition coming up, Dylan also puts Demetres on the block as a backup plan, in case one of the nominees wins the veto challenge.
As expected, Kevin and Dillon are furious at being nominated and they try their best to keep their cool during the week. Meanwhile, the other houseguests start scrambling to secure their own positions in the house. Karen is especially worried about her place in the game, as she knows that she is seen as a weak player. She tries to form new alliances and befriend the other houseguests, but her efforts seem to be in vain.
The Power of Veto competition is intense, with all the houseguests vying for the coveted prize. In the end, it is Kevin who comes out on top, winning the Power of Veto. Kevin knows he has a target on his back, and his only hope of survival is to use the veto to save himself from eviction.
At the veto ceremony, Kevin decides to use the Power of Veto on himself, forcing Dylan to name a replacement nominee. Dylan is torn between his alliance members, but in the end, he decides to put Karen on the block. Karen is devastated at being nominated, but she tries to keep her spirits up by staying positive and talking to the other houseguests.
As the week progresses, tensions continue to rise in the house. Kevin, Dillon, and Karen are all campaigning hard to stay in the game, while the other houseguests start plotting their next moves. Karen knows that she is in danger of being evicted, but she refuses to give up. She talks to each of the houseguests individually, hoping to change their minds and keep her in the game.
On eviction night, it is a tense atmosphere in the house. The houseguests all know that one of them will be leaving the house for good. In the end, it is Karen who is voted out, with only Dillon voting to save her.
Karen leaves the house with her head held high, proud of the way she played the game. She knows that she gave it her all and that she made some true friendships along the way. As for the rest of the houseguests, they are left to ponder their own game moves and wonder what the future holds for them in the Big Brother house.
