In Episode 3 of Big Brother Canada Season 6, the houseguests continue to navigate the game and build alliances in hopes of making it to the end. The episode begins with host Arisa Cox reminding the houseguests of the new Head of Household competition and warning them that this week's eviction will be a double eviction.
The HOH competition, called "True Colors," requires the houseguests to navigate a maze and collect different-colored discs. The player with the most discs of a particular color at the end of the allotted time wins that color and becomes the HOH for the week. After a tense and competitive competition, Derek wins the blue discs and becomes the new HOH.
Derek is now in a powerful position, with the ability to nominate two players for eviction. He confers with his close allies, including Kaela and Jesse, to discuss who they should nominate. After some deliberation, Derek decides to nominate Ryan and Andrew, believing that they are the strongest players in the house and pose a potential threat to his own game.
As the houseguests discuss the nominations, tensions rise and alliances are tested. Ryan and Andrew are visibly upset at being nominated and begin to strategize on how they can win the Power of Veto competition in order to save themselves.
The Power of Veto competition, called "High Steaks," requires the players to balance steaks on a serving tray. The player who can balance the most steaks without tipping over the tray wins the POV and has the power to veto one of the nominations. After a grueling competition, Maddy emerges as the winner of the POV.
Maddy must now decide whether to use the POV to save Ryan or Andrew, or to leave the nominations as they are. She confers with her allies and ultimately decides not to use the POV, leaving Derek's nominations intact.
At the eviction ceremony, Ryan and Andrew plead their cases to the other houseguests. Ryan argues that he is a valuable player who can help them win challenges and strategize, while Andrew stresses his loyalty to his allies and his willingness to work with others. In the end, the house votes to evict Andrew, and he becomes the second player to leave the game.
As the episode comes to a close, Arisa warns the houseguests that a double eviction is coming up and that they must be prepared. With alliances shifting and tensions high, the houseguests must work together to navigate the game and stay one step ahead of their competitors.
