This program follows the 1941 voyage of the St.Roch, the first vessel to circumvent the Northwest passage. Along the way there are polar bears, beluga whales and tales of shipwrecks, lighthouses, whalers and their exploits. We explore the mysterious Moravian Missions of Labrador and at Signal Hill, learn of the first telegraph ever sent across the ocean.
