Ep 11. Sue Holderness and John Challis

Sue Holderness and John Challis, both well-known actors from the popular British sitcom Only Fools and Horses, team up for this episode of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip. The two get behind the wheel of classic cars and embark on a journey across England to find antiques and collectibles to sell at auction.

Their first stop is in the town of Warrington, where they visit an antiques center in search of unique items. Sue takes a liking to an Art Deco lamp, while John finds an old-fashioned gramophone. They also stumble upon a collection of vintage toys, including a train set that brings back childhood memories for both of them.

Next up, the duo heads to the historic city of Chester, where they explore an antiques fair held at the racecourse. Here, Sue and John browse through various stalls looking for unique and valuable antiques. They come across a variety of items, including a marble statue, a World War I trench art shell case, and a silver coffee set. Will they decide to bid on any of these items?

After a brief lunch break, Sue and John travel to the town of Tarporley to visit an antique shop which specializes in British pottery. The shop owner shows them a collection of ceramics made by Royal Doulton, including a fancy tea set and an elegant vase. Meanwhile, John finds an unusual commemorative plate which intrigues him.

Their final destination is the picturesque town of Knutsford, where they visit an art and antiques center. Here, Sue and John compete to find the best bargains. They explore the center's many rooms, each offering a different collection of antiques, from furniture and jewelry to books and musical instruments. They discover an antique brass telescope, an old-fashioned quill pen, and a set of Victorian silver cutlery.

After four stops full of antiques and collectibles, the episode culminates in an auction where Sue and John will try to sell the items they have purchased. As always, the auction is held in front of a live audience with an auctioneer who will try to drive up the prices of the lots. How will Sue and John fare in this high-stakes world of antiques?
