The Honeymoon is the fourth episode of the first season of Couple Trouble. The show revolves around a married couple, Oliver and Emily, who are trying to navigate their relationship while they raise their three children. They both work full-time and they have a lot of stress in their lives, which often leads to arguments and misunderstandings.
In this episode, Oliver and Emily decide to take a weekend off to go on their honeymoon, which they never had when they got married. They leave their children with their grandparents and head off to a luxurious resort in the Caribbean. They are both excited to finally have some alone time and to leave their problems behind, but things do not go as planned.
As soon as they arrive at the resort, they realize they have different expectations for the honeymoon. Oliver wants to relax by the pool and enjoy the sunshine, while Emily wants to explore the island and do adventurous activities. They try to compromise and do both, but they end up arguing about which activities to do and how to spend their time.
Their conflicts from home follow them to the resort and resurface during their trip. They both have unresolved issues that they haven't talked about and they can't seem to communicate effectively. Emily is still angry at Oliver for forgetting their anniversary and Oliver is frustrated that Emily never makes time for him. They both feel neglected and unheard, which causes them to lash out at each other.
The tension between them builds up until they have a big fight on the last day of the trip. They both say hurtful things and it seems like their marriage might be over. But then, they both realize that they still love each other and they want to make things work. They have a heartfelt conversation and they make a plan to work on their relationship when they get back home.
The episode ends with them leaving the resort, holding hands and smiling. They are not sure what the future holds for them, but they know they want to face it together. They still have a lot of work to do, but they are willing to try.
