In the seventh episode of season one of "Freud" titled "Catharsis," the plot thickens as Freud, Fleur, and Alfred investigate the death of the fourth and final medium, Béatrice. When the trio finally get their hands on some evidence, it leads them to a luxurious private hospital where all the mediums were patients.
Meanwhile, Inspector Kiss realizes that not only was Béatrice tied to Freud through her visions, but also through her familial ties. Picking up from where he left off previously, he threatens Freud about his view on homosexuality and demands he divulges his romantic liaisons.
Fleur's character development is especially evident in this episode as she struggles between catching the killer and dealing with her feelings towards both Freud and Alfred. However, the killer is the most intriguing character in this episode, slowly unraveling before the eyes of the audience as they quite masquerading their identity while targeting Freud.
Overall, the episode is filled with suspense, subtle plot twists, and excellent acting from the cast. Viewers who have stuck with the series thus far should be rewarded with an emotionally satisfying and intense episode.
