Donna, Danelle, Robert and Ana are the subjects of this emotional episode of I Survived... Season 2.
Donna was taking a walk in her neighborhood when she was brutally attacked by a stranger who dragged her into a nearby woods. Despite being repeatedly beaten and stabbed, Donna was determined to survive and was eventually able to fight off her attacker and escape. Her injuries were severe and life-threatening, but she was able to receive medical attention in time to save her life.
Danelle's survival story is one of tragedy and resilience. She was on a camping trip with her husband when they were ambushed by a group of armed robbers. Her husband was shot several times and killed, while Danelle was left for dead with a gunshot wound to her head. Somehow, she was able to survive the attack and make her way to safety. Her journey to recovery was long and difficult, but she was determined to hold onto hope and find a way to move forward.
Robert's story is no less harrowing. He was working as a police officer when he was shot in the line of duty. Despite being hit multiple times, he was able to crawl to safety and call for backup. The resulting standoff with the shooter lasted for several hours, and Robert was ultimately left paralyzed from the waist down. His journey of recovery started with learning how to live with a disability, but eventually evolved into a personal mission to help other wounded officers.
Ana's story is one of survival against all odds. She was just 11 years old when she was trapped in a plane crash that killed her mother and brother. Ana was left with severe burns and injuries that would require multiple surgeries and years of physical therapy. Her recovery was long and painful, but she was able to find strength through the support of her family and community.
Through interviews with the survivors, family members, and first responders involved in their stories, I Survived... Season 2 Episode 8 offers a firsthand account of the trauma, triumph, and perseverance of those who survived against incredible odds.
