Back at Happylou's home, Remington and Diana continue to argue over finances. Happylou returns with the money she earned from selling her jewelry and gives it to her parents. Remington is surprised by his daughter's generosity and feels guilty for not being able to provide for the family. Diana also appreciates her daughter's effort and is happy to see their family coming together.

Happylou and Junjun leave to buy groceries but are followed by Javier. He confronts Happylou, confesses his love for her and asks her to give him a second chance. Happylou is torn between her love for Javier and her mission to fix her family's past mistakes.
