Ep 1. Powerplay

However, all is not lost, as the team’s captain, Vayu Raghavan (played by Tanuj Virwani), has a Plan B up his sleeve, and it involves working with a notorious bookie named Kishore (played by Manu Rishi Chadha).

Meanwhile, we are introduced to a new character named Prashant Kanaujia (played by Siddhant Chaturvedi), an enterprising young journalist who is investigating the league’s governance and off-field controversies. He is determined to uncover any corruption that might be going on behind the scenes of the T20.

Throughout the rest of the episode, we see the players getting ready for the match, but with tensions high, several of them become entangled in their own dramas off the pitch, including personal entanglements, strategic arguments, and stress over fixing the match. We see the bookies move in, placing bets, and plotting to fix the game.

The match finally starts with the spectators cheering their teams and the hope of a fair game, but things become sloppy soon. One of the Mavericks’ star players, ‘Mihir’, was not on his best form, and the team makes critical errors on the field that make it much more difficult for them to win. And when they are on the verge of losing, Vayu intervenes and decides to get Kishore’s help to influence the match's outcome. However, things don't go as smoothly as planned, and both Vayu and Kishore get caught up in the mess.

The episode ends passionately, with the drama reaching its tipping point and everyone's lives hanging in the balance. We see hurt, anger, betrayal, and mixed emotions as the tension and excitement reach their peak.
