Kodocha Season 1 Episode 44 Gomi, Gomi, Where Are You Going?

Sana and her classmates are busy with their class project to clean up the school grounds during Diamond Week. While cleaning, they discover a large pile of garbage bags, a collection of Gomi, left behind by the previous class. The children decide to sort the Gomi into recyclables and regular trash bags that were left. Sana and her friends have a good time sorting the trash, but they soon run into trouble when they are not able to dispose of the trash bags properly.

During this time, Sana's mother is busy rehearsing for her upcoming play and Sana takes the Gomi problem to her mother for help. However, her mother is too busy with the play to attend to the matter. Sana tries to take matters into her own hands by finding a way to dispose of the trash bags. Sana and her friends hatch a plan to sneak into the nearby dump site and leave the trash bags there. The plan seems to work like a charm, but then they run into another problem.

The children notice a group of protestors rallying against the new dump site, citing negative environmental effects. The children begin to question the ethics behind their actions, and Sana realizes that they should have found a more responsible way to dispose of the trash bags. She and her friends decide to take the Gomi back to the original classroom and store it until they find a better solution.

Despite their efforts, the Gomi pile has grown too large for the small classroom to hold and the children are running out of time with Diamond Week coming to a close. Sana and her friends put their heads together to come up with different ways of getting rid of the trash bags. In the end, they come up with a creative solution that is both practical and environmentally responsible.
