Aakash is torn. On the one hand, he wants to do well in the coaching class and make his family proud. On the other, he knows that what Chakma is doing is wrong. He also realizes that Chakma is not the friend he thought he was- he's using him for his own benefit. Aakash knows that he needs to get out of this situation, but he doesn't know how. He can't afford to pay for the coaching class on his own, and he's afraid of losing Chakma's help.

Outside of class, he meets a girl called Aruna who helps him see things in a different light. Aakash realizes that he doesn't need to cheat to do well- he has the ability to succeed on his own. He also realizes that true friendships are built on trust and honesty, not on favours and debt.
