In episode 2 of My Girlfriend is an Alien, we pick up where we left off in the previous episode with Chai Xiaoqi and Fang Leng in bed after their drunken night out. Chai Xiaoqi wakes up and begins to realize that her alien powers are causing her to act strange and irrationally. She also begins to understand that Fang Leng has a long and painful history with his past relationships.
Meanwhile, Fang Leng’s father, Fang Daren, is suspicious of Chai Xiaoqi and hires a private investigator to look into her past. The investigator comes back with some unusual findings, which only adds to Fang Daren’s suspicions.
As the episode progresses, Fang Leng is struggling to come to terms with his feelings for Chai Xiaoqi while also dealing with his difficult relationship with his father. Chai Xiaoqi is doing her best to fit in on Earth and learn more about human culture, but her alien powers keep causing problems. She accidentally turns invisible while trying to help a friend and ends up causing a big commotion.
Later on in the episode, Chai Xiaoqi’s alien identity is revealed to Fang Leng’s father during a dinner party. The revelation leads to a tense confrontation between Fang Leng, his father, and Chai Xiaoqi. Fang Leng’s father is furious and demands that Chai Xiaoqi leave immediately.
Despite the setback, Chai Xiaoqi is still determined to stay on Earth and be with Fang Leng. She ends up saving Fang Leng’s life when he is attacked by a mysterious assailant, which leads to a deeper understanding between the two of them.
The episode ends on a cliffhanger as Chai Xiaoqi begins to realize that Fang Leng’s life might be in danger because of her alien powers and past. The tension continues to build as we head into the next episode, and it remains to be seen whether Chai Xiaoqi will be able to protect Fang Leng and find a way to stay on Earth.
