Fourth eldest brother Ichimatsu lands a job as a babysitter, taking care of a young girl named Yumeko. He tries to impress her by showing her his cat, but things quickly go wrong when the cat runs away. Ichimatsu spends the rest of the day chasing the cat around town, and by the time he catches it, he realizes that he's lost the girl. He eventually finds Yumeko but gets scolded by her mother for neglecting his babysitting duties.

Jyushimatsu, the fifth eldest brother, takes on the job of teaching a group of kids how to play baseball. He quickly realizes that the kids are more interested in playing than learning, but he decides to have fun with them anyway. Jyushimatsu's unorthodox methods of teaching end up getting the kids excited about baseball, and they all have a great time.

Finally, Totoko takes on the job of selling flowers. She tries to use her charm to convince people to buy her flowers, but she quickly realizes that it's harder than it looks. She ends up getting scammed by a couple who convince her to give them flowers for free.

As the day comes to a close, the brothers gather to count their earnings and realize they have failed to earn enough money to buy their father a birthday present. They decide to pool their money together and buy a lottery ticket, hoping to win enough money to buy the gift. To their delight, they end up winning the lottery, and they're able to buy their father a fantastic birthday present.
