The rabbi then took the feather and blew it up into the air, saying “If this feather does not come back to me, then Hashem exists.” The feather flew up into the air and then started to come back down towards the rabbi. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew the feather away and it was lost forever. The rabbi turned to the merchant and said, “You see, if Hashem did not exist, then the feather would have stayed up in the air.”

Moshe listened intently to the story and was amazed at the clever way the rabbi had proved the existence of Hashem. The old man continued to explain that faith in God is not just about believing that he exists, it is also about trusting in Him and having confidence that He will always do what is best for us. He explains that this is why people turn to Hashem in times of trouble, because they know He will help them.

The episode ends with Moshe having a newfound understanding and appreciation for the concept of Emunah. He thanks the old man and sets off on his way, his faith in Hashem strengthened by the story he has just heard.
