Three Dutch boys join the Dutch East India Company to seek their fortune in the 17th century in this entertaining family film. The boys, Haje, Rolf and Padde set sail and are soon shipwrecked in an incident the Dutch authorities blame on Padde. After being shipwrecked the boys must repel the attacks from the local people and help a local teenager Dolimah escape the clutches of her family. If the boys can escape the clutches of the local people and return to the Netherlands they must still face the problem of Padde being blamed for the shipwreck.
