Final Destination 5 is a thriller and suspense film that continues on with the same story as the original four films a part of the franchise. The film was very well received by critics despite it still copying the same story as the four films. The story first begins with a guy named Sam who is on his way to cross a bridge. He gains a premonition that the bridge is going to collapse and is going to kill him and all of his friends. He decides to tell everyone that he knows to not go onto the bridge before it collapses.

He is finally saved and so are a select few of others. By the time they meet up at the funeral, they are told by a local coroner that they have cheated death, and that one way or another, they will each die one by one since they are not allowed to escape death. They are all shocked at what he says, but they go along their ordinary lives only to end up dying one by one. The story is very well structured and has a great twist which helps make the story somewhat connected to all four films in some way. The twist at the ending is what most people just didn't seem to expect, and that is why so many have given this film a great rating.

The film was well received by the critics at Rotten Tomatoes with a score of more than 60%. More than 120 critics reviewed the film, and about 60% of them reviewed the film with a positive rating. The film is not for children at all. It is not for kids to watch since the film showcases ordinary life situations and makes them a time to kill the characters. This alone is a very bad aspect that can creep out a whole lot of people very often.

The truth is that the Final Destination films are scary, nervewracking, and have scary life deathening situations take place that can scare all kinds of people. If you are somebody who doesn't enjoy seeing gory situations and other people die because of an ordinary thing that was done in the day, then Final Destination is not for you. The story is still similar to the four films of the franchise, so if you got scared from those, then do not watch this film.
